9 New Skin Care Launches for Fall.

Summer to fall is a huge transition period for the skin. I normally tweak a few of my skin care products this time of year to recover and repair from the summer and prepare it for the winter. I go from spending a lot of time outside to not spending all of my inside yet, but I do start to spend more time indoors in the fall. I'm quite surprised at the recent onslaught of skin care launches that are helping me make the transition easier. From new makeup remover wipes that hydrate the skin to custom eye treatments there is something to make the transition easier and your skin better.

Extend Your Summer Tan.

As we transition our way from summer to fall, you don't have to lose that summer tan you have. I'm hoping it's a faux glow but I see you all out there and realize many of you have spent a lot of time at the beach and are brown. Even though I pile on the sunscreen, my skin turns a light golden brown color as soon as I hit the outdoors too. I do enhance the color by self-tanning and that is exactly how I am extending and prolonging my summer tan. I've discovered some new products that are giving me the most believable color that lasts and one that protects me while I am outside.

I'm obsessed with having a fresh from the salon blowout. I'm proud to say that I've perfected the routine on my own so I can do it myself. I make my blowout last a few days too. I can't believe it, but my daughter Caci is headed back for another year at college next week. Time flies! It seems like yesterday when we were packing her up for her first year away at school. We've learned a lot over the last year in what she needs to bring with her this year. Plus this year is a bit different; Caci will be living in an apartment with her roommates instead of a dorm (envision very nervous Mom here). We have the major items covered, but toiletries and beauty items? Not so much. I have my idea of what Caci should bring and Caci has her idea of what she should bring. We've made a list and narrowed things down and there are a few definite items that we agree are must haves. One such item is a good disposable razor. A beautiful, flawless looking face is on trend. It was seen all over the runways when showing the fall collections last spring. We are going to see less blush (hello strobing - I have a post all about that planned soon) and more of a focus on skin. I'm going through something. I don't know if it's my age, a mid-life crisis or if I am just looking in the mirror too often. I am noticing EVERY LITTLE THING and taking action. So far this year I have had botox, fillers, had a lot of work done on my teeth, cut my hair, died my hair lighter, died my hair darker, had face peels in amongst multiple facials -- I could go on. I have never been overly obsessed with my looks. Maybe it is the getting older thing and being obsessed with beauty and beauty treatments. One thing that I noticed lately, even after spending a lot on my teeth, is that they were just not as white and bright as they had been. I may be set in my ways when it comes to mascara because I always think I have found my 'holy grail', but then a new mascara comes along that seems to be better than my current favorite. The fact that brands are continually improving their formulas and launching new mascaras with new features, I don't think I will ever truly find one mascara to settle upon. I have had a list of top mascaras, and while I usually use just drugstore mascaras (many of these are mascaras under $10, you have to give it up to the brands and all of the new mascara launches just this year alone! I've tried all of these on the list, and though I have just reviewed a few specifically, I have mentioned the others here and there. All of these rightfully deserve a spot on this list of top 10 new mascaras for 2015.

I can't believe that August is well under way, but summer is far from over. We still have a good month and a half left of fun in the sun to be had here in the Northeast. I have been spending a lot of time outside already this summer and I do protect my skin with sunscreen each and everyday.
