I became quite familiar with Luminess Air Airbrush Makeup System a few months ago and love what it does for giving my skin a flawless makeup look. Mystic Airbrush Foundation is like a foundation, concealer and corrector in one. I only use a bit of concealer under my eyes after applying the foundation and this is only to brighten up and then I'm done. The foundation lasts all day and looks fresh and flawless on me. With just a little bit of practice, it blends evenly and looks flawless.

Tips to using Luminess Air

• Practice makes perfect! Watch the online application tutorial and practice.
• Use a headband or pin hair away from face to protect it from over-spraying.
• Hold the stylus approximately 6 inches from the face when spraying.
• Use 6-8 drops of Mystic Foundation.
• Apply in light layers and build up for more coverage.
• Always keep the stylus moving and apply in circular motions.

Summer Lips: MAC Blue Nectar + Tendertalk Lip Balm.

I love a great new lippie and summer is as good a time as any to find a great new one to update your look. MAC is all about the summer lips this year with two collections dedicated to this one product category and I couldn't be impressed more. If you are looking for a new full-on lip color or gloss in summer hottest hues, then look at Blue Nectar. But if you are looking for a new product innovation, you'll definitely want to check out the brand new Tendertalk Lip Balm. Being lippie obsessed, I couldn't help but want or recommend both.

So let's talk about the new color-changing Tendertalk Lip Balm first. Yes, you read that correctly - this lip balm is color-changing based on your pH levels for a customized colors. It is sort of based on your mood too. Remember those mood rings that were big way back when? Yeah, there are other makeup products that do similar things, but none really compare in my opinion. The Tendertalk Lip Balm is really unique.

Tendertalk Lip Balm is a nourishing lip conditioner first and foremost. It contains nourishing ingredients to keep lips feeling smooth and hydrated while the special "technology" transforms your lips. You pick from one of five base shades then watch as your lips transform.

These lip balms are definitely lip balms so they are sheer from the get go. I tried Pretty Me Up and Play with Me which are on the opposite end of the spectrum - Pretty Me Up is a sheer coral shade while Play with Me is a sheer red shade. Pretty Me Up wet on almost clear with a slight hint of coral to it but transformed within minutes to a soft, shiny bubble-gum pink shade on me that stained my lips as time went on. Play with Me went on as a barely there red tint but transformed into a soft orange-red that was actually a great summer shade. Neither of the transformed shades are what I would have expected them to be but I really liked them and loved they way they felt on my lips. They have the slight vanilla scent/flavor the MAC lip products have and while they initially seem to only last for a few hours with the balm look and real emollient feeling, the subtle stain that is left behind lasts for more than six hours. This is not a harsh stain, I'm calling it a stain/wash that feels really comfortable on the lips and is perfect for summer.

Choose from five shades all together: Candy Wrapped (sheer pink), Pretty Me Up (sheer coral), Play With Me (sheer red), Teddy Pink (sheer bright pink), and Side Dish (sheer plum). Each Tendertalk Lip Balm will sell for $20 and will be available any day. Blue Nectar is a collection of 12 Lipstick and 6 Plushglass shades that are all perfectly suited for summer. Not all skin types are created equal. While my Mom has long-written about the top foundations for all skin types or her favorite foundations, I think she has left out those of us that have generally more oily skin. CHANEL Summer 2016 Makeup Collection: Danis La Lumière de L'été.

When CHANEL does a makeup collection, they look for inspiration. For this years summer makeup collection, Danis La Lumière de L'été, they not only looked at the desert adventure (another nod to the music festival culture?), they looked at the desert and shimmering sand itself. One glance at the beautiful Quadra eyeshadow palette and you will see what I mean.

In the spirit of adventure, a new makeup collection unveils a shimmering desert oasis. Brilliant coppers and sandy browns give soft intensity to the eyes, while pinks and oranges sparkle on the lips.

Danis La Lumière de L'été actually means "In the light of summer" and that is a true representation of the entire makeup collection. The highlight of the collection is obviously the Empreinte Du Désert Quadra Eyeshadow Palette ($65). The shadows themselves look like blown sand, as in the desert.  The shades are all shimmery and gorgeous! They include a copper, khaki, sepia and brown shade.

Also for eyes, you need a coordinating eyeliner and the Stylo Yeux Waterproof ($33) in Sable will last you all through a long summer day and night. Lips are seriously stunning in mostly pinks and oranges with one shimmering berry, Dzhari, which looks like the beautiful sunset that the desert is so famous for. I have the Lèvres Scintillantes Aqua Glossimer ($30) in Sahara, a sparkling golden pink lemonade shade and Dzhari. I'll be wearing them often this summer will be looking at the other shades next time I am in Nordstrom because many of the shades appeal to me. All seem well suited to most skin tones, but perfect for summer and a tan.

CHANEL did not leave out nails, and you have your pick with five new shades of Le Vernis Longwear Nail Colour ($28) that are all stand-outs. While I am really drawn to orange in the summer, try Espadrilles from the collection if you love Orange too, I am really into the bronze and light shimmering gold of Cavalière and Canotier.  If you haven't tried Le Vernis in a while, they were recently re-formulated and are longer-wearing and have a gel finish. They are thicker and more resin-like. They last a good six to seven days with no top coat before chipping. I can touch-up and extend wear to ten days without having to change polish.
